Will allow us to meet one-on-one (usually from 45 minutes to 1 hour). These sessions can typically occur weekly, every other week, or monthly, etc. Scheduling will act in accordance with recommendations made by the therapist in the client’s treatment plan after an initial evaluation.
It is a common misconception that a couple must be married to seek support and guidance from a therapist. It is actually very proactive and helpful to participate in couples counseling before getting married or in any domestic partnership and relationship stage. In this type of therapy, we provide a safe and comfortable space to practice healthy communication of thoughts, feelings, and boundaries and provide insight into strategies for strengthening the relationship. However, this type of therapy is not covered by insurance, and out-of-pocket fees will apply.
Often, if one person is going through something, the whole family does. Family therapy provides a safe place to practice communication between family members and work on ways to better support one another, find validation in thoughts and feelings, and receive insightful recommendations for positive change or adjustments to dynamics with an outside perspective.
CBT is a common form of talk therapy that helps a person develop strengthened awareness of skewed or negative thinking that may lead to unhealthy behaviors, relationships and ineffective coping. I am a practicing psychotherapist with an LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) in the state of Indiana. I attended the University of Southern Indiana as an undergraduate student-athlete, studying Social Work and Psychology. I later obtained a Master in Social Work through the USI graduate program.
I am a therapist, business owner, mom, and wife. My experience in these roles, coupled with my previous work and personal experiences, have led to my specialization in working with clients dealing with Sports Performance Issues, Trauma, Anxiety, Depression, ADHD, Interpersonal Issues, Relationship Challenges, Women’s Issues, Weight Management, and Eating disorders. I am also certified in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Our policy is that clients must provide notice of at least 8 hours in advance to cancel a scheduled appointment. Not showing or not providing sufficient notice will result in a $50.00 fee.
We do accept health insurance; however, coverage and benefits may vary according to your plan.
